Kimble Chase KIMAX cylinder is calibrated to contain and is used in the determination of emulsifying and demulsifying tendencies of lubricating oils (ASTM D1401). With a pour spout and a white ceramic enamel scale. This cylinder has a round base to fit the baths in which it is generally used. This cylinder meets the requirements for the American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM) E438, Type I, Class A, Standard Specification for Glass in Laboratory Apparatus. Made from 33 expansion borosilicate glass, which has a low coefficient of thermal expansion, very high resistance to chemical attack, and heavy walls that minimize the risk of mechanical breakage when heat is applied.
